THE TIM PIERSON SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Tim Pierson was an active member in the TAA community and coached many sports. Unfortunately, Tim passed away in 2001 doing what he loved to do best.....COACH!
The family offers scholarships to three 8th grade students who exhibit good sportsmanship and many years of participation in Tewksbury. The awards are decided by the coaches of the TAA in June and awarded by the Pierson family at Commencement Exercises.
HARDSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS
Hardship scholarships will be available for individuals where the economic situation of the family makes it very difficult to afford the program registration fee. Scholarships will be available for the following programs:
Traveling Soccer
Rec Soccer
Traveling Basketball
Rec Basketball
Lacrosse
Softball
Baseball
The scholarship will cover all registration and normal uniform costs for the league and/or All-star program. The individual will be awarded a scholarship provdied the individual meets the following conditions:
1. The individual is a resident of Tewksbury Twp.
2. The parent(s) of the individual have requested a scholarship.
3. The Program Coordinator is in agreement with issuing the scholarship.
Scholarship costs need to be budgeted for by the Program Coordinator. These costs are to be part of the registration fee.
Hardship individuals from outside of Tewksbury Twp. need to be funded via a sponsorship.
